Position Overview

As Event Manager and Marketing Assistant, you will be part of a dynamic team and have significant impact toward sustaining RGA’s position as the leading life and health reinsurer. Through the execution of the marketing plan, you will use your creativity, attention to detail and coordination and planning skills to create impactful and memorable client experiences. Through the support of the Business Development function, you will strive to enable the team to be efficient and effective. You will also have the opportunity support to RGA’s social responsibility and sustainability initiatives through your implication in diverse committees.

 

Responsibilities

Primary Functions:

  • You will be responsible for a portfolio of events (virtual, hybrid, in person). Your role will be to create, manage and execute these events such that they meet the stated business objectives. You will be responsible maximizing the value of these events within the allocated budget.
  • You will take an active participation in the management, edition and coordination of the mass communications sent to clients (RGA events, webinars, press releases, etc), along with social media used by business development.
  • You will manage promotional and entertainment items and ensure their effective use.
  • You will be the CRM system Super User for the Montreal office. You will maximize the value of the system for the business development function and promote its effective use. You will be responsible for the integrity of the information.
  • You will ensure that the logistics of meetings and business trips are made in accordance with expectations and assist in the management of the calendars.
  • You will provide assistance in the preparation of reports and presentations, including translation.
  • You will provide administrative to the SVP and VP, Business Development.

Requirements

Requirements :        

  • College Diploma or Office Automation
  • Excellent knowledge of Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and good knowledge of Excel
  • Excellent verbal and written bilingualism (French & English)*
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar position

* Required for this role in order to plan, manage and execute events across Canada. Interaction with the Toronto colleagues on a daily basis.
