Position Overview

The Sr. Business Operations Consultant position is an Individual contributor role with significant ownership in implementation, performance and post implementation of business initiatives, new acquisitions, financial, audit, operations risk tracking/resolution and management, and special project efforts.

 

Acts as a lead in process improvement initiatives with playing a key role in design and implementation of business process changes aimed to create efficiencies, controls and maximize effectiveness. Ensure alignment and coordination occurs with all impacted areas and downstream data users. May serve as a team lead and provide work direction.

Responsibilities

  • Serves as a subject matter expert. Performs due diligence by collecting information, facts and key indicators pertaining to Operations new initiatives and succinctly documenting findings and recommendations for leadership team consideration.
  • Lead and support business partners in conducting the review and assessment of business initiatives involving complex Includes tasks associated with implementation, maintenance and post implementation.
  • Apply internal control expertise to evaluate operational risk across Global Operational processes to ensure completeness, accuracy. Review processes and identify opportunities to both strengthen and streamline current internal Work closely with other team members to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of processes/procedures and remediate deficiencies. Research solutions and implement corrective steps / enhancements.
  • Partners and collaborates with Business Transformation teams on financial and audit related system Includes review, impact analysis, and prioritization. Verify system functionality aligns with business requirements and processes.
  • Collaborates with functional business areas on system and reporting impacts to ancillary systems/programs. Assures appropriate communication and coordination with teams to facilitate knowledge transfer or understanding and/or impact analysis.
  • Partner with Business Transformation Teams to facilitate and lead Lessons Learned post implementation efforts with documentation and incorporation into future
  • May coach, train and mentor team members. May also provide work direction to team members.

Requirements

Educations and Experience

Required:      

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related work experience
  • 8+ years’ experience in reinsurance or insurance
  • 5+ years’ experience in an administrative project lead or supervisory role

Preferred:          

  • FLMI, ARA or other relevant professional
